I work for a company that owes its customers thousands of dollars in refunds but is not to returning the $?

My job is to deal with the customers and tell them the money is going back to them but it takes 6-8 weeks. It has been almost 5 months and a lot of these people don't know they are due a refund. The stress is killing me. I hate the place I work for but I feel bad for the customers. What are my options from a legal standpoint to help these customers?
