Help...my dog has separation anxiety bad!?

My dog is very attached to me if I leave her with anyone she sits by the door and waits for my return. She never leaves my side if I'm home she won't even allow my husband to take her out to use the bathroom unless I go also. The worst is when I leave for work. I have had to resort to puting her in crate when I leave because if I leave her out I will have nothing left in my house. Only know she has torn up half the door to the wire crate completely destroid it. I think she needs to go on meds for anxiety but a need a now fix until I can get her to a vet any suggestion?
