Is it normal to not want to talk to your boyfriend/girlfriend everyday like through texting?

My boyfriend and I really only communicate through texting because he's normally far away from me and now he's stuck in Afghanistan for like 7 months. For awhile we've been talking at least for a little bit about everyday and he is usually the one to start the conversations. Don't get me wrong, I of course like hearing from him and talking to him but I don't think that I would want to text him every single day during his deployment there, 7 months is long time at least it is for me to talk everyday to someone. Is it bad that feel this way?
