Is there any point learning Clical Mechanics?

Is there any point beyond historical interest in studying, say, Newton's Optics? Hasn't quantum mechanics rendered a great deal of clical mechanics obsolete? Or is there still a point in studying clical mechanics from the vantage of actually learning something about the world?
