Ppl need your help if i should or not???

its him bday tday i'm not sure if i should greet him. *info* his mad that i didn't keep my promise not to ans my ex call..since then his been resufing to talked to me..about a mth i tried to end things w/him. instead he ask for right timing..last thurs i called him around 8:40am..i thought he was avoiding me cz he wants to hang up and he will call me back(he said he slept late 4am)...on friday he text me asking me if i called him? i guess his still half a sleep when i called him...when i reply he didnt reply back..confusing? now its him bday should i greet him? and tell him thats the last time i will try to contact him or its wrong cz thats his bday?? advice pls?
