Should I buy a DSi or a DSi XL?

I was planning on buying a DSi XL but I've been having second thoughts lately. Aside from the screen size, what difference is there from the DSi? I mean, if I want portable gaming wouldn't a smaller screen size be more suitable? I don't have a problem with the regular DS Lite screen size. Also, DSi has normal colors like black and white while the DSi XL has stupid colors like brown and burgundy. I'm not the type of gamer to play my handheld on the bus or at the library, but more at home or at other people's houses/vactions. What do you think?
